It was two years ago when Gloria Anson invited me to attend the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia with her, Shannon Guy and Anne Costa. It was an awesome experience and I met many other people with a great love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The blog was saved on our website so I reopened it to share the excitement of Gloria's ministry and mission. There are several days of comments so keep scrolling.

I'm home! I posted this info yesterday but something went wrong and it wasn't there this morning so here is the scoop. At Dr. Timothy O'Donnell's talk on Wednesday, he referred people to the Sacred Heart Apostolate booth. Well, Shannon was covering the table so everyone else could attend Mass with Msgr. Esseff and Fr. Gaffney and she got hammered! But what a joyful hammering! She was handing out packets left and right and sharing the joys of Enthronement to the Sacred Heart. The Thursday morning Mass was wonderful and the background to the altar was the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. There were two children's choirs and if you are Facebook friends with me, I will be posting a video up there. We still had people coming up who were referred from the talk. Part of the group went to St. Rita's Shrine for a catechesis on the Sacred Heart Enthronement and a healing service with our two priests. Kathleen McCarthy, Anna Iatesta and I manned the table for that time. Until we got word that there was going to be a lockown and all cars would be prevented from moving within a grid that included our hotel. So it was get out of town now or stay through Monday. All hands tore down the booth, packed up and left Philly. Bob Moore was doing all the hard, heavy stuff for which we are grateful. So here are the last of the pictures from the World Meeting of Families. A couple of special notes. The children posing with the Sacred Heart Image are from the Children's Rosary program - http://childrensrosary.blogspot.com/p/how-to-start-childrens-rosary.html. And the pictures with the banners for Formed and Beloved are from Augustine Institute. Those are products offered now as part of a great digital package through Lighthouse Catholic Media. This set of pictures is in a slideshow so view away. It was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to God for the many blessings we received. Another beautiful day in Philadephia! What a skyline. Some of us were able to attned Mass this morning. Others will participate this afternoon with the priests associated with the Sacred Heart Apostolate, Msgr. John Esseff and Father Bill Gaffney.
It was another beautiful liturgical celebration and we were quite busy all day at the booth. You'll see some pictures of different members of the group speaking with people about Enthronement to the Sacred Heart. And as you will see we had visitors of all ages and from all over the world. Gloria Anson, Foundress of the Sacred Heart Apostolate is in the bright yellow. There is a photo of The Children's Rosary Ministry and it was so nice to meet them They have been in touch with the CNY Marian Center through Bud O'Brien. Joan Nolan came over to say hello today and she and Father Brockmyre may be joining us for dinner. Father Chris Alar from the National Shrine of Divine Mercy is here and for those who are wondering, that wasn't a cutout of Bishop Robert Barron in yesterday's blog. That was the real thing. Wait till you see who we catch up with tomorrow! this was an amazing day.
The Sacred Heart Apostolate is the group that i have been invited to attend the World Meeting of Families with. They love Jesus and work hard to bring his Sacred Heart into the hearts and homes of everyone they meet. And this is a perfect place to meet people ready for Enthronement to the Sacred Heart. There are tens of thousands of people and 15 rows of exhibitors. It is amazing to be in a place and time like this. The Mass today was 90 minutes. The processional was 20 minutes of that. What a beautiful sight and celebration. It gives you such hope for our Church. Our friends from the World Apostolate of Fatima are here and Todd, who helped arrange our Pilgrim Statue tour is helping man their booth The Pilgrim Statue will be returning for a brief stay and appear at the Women's Conference on November 7. I never take just a few photos but I hope you will enjoy them and get a sense of what this event is like. If the videos post up, they are from the Mass. The procession was 20 minutes and amazing! Music incredible! You can find some of the videos on my Facebook. Yesterday I received a true gift in the form of an invitation to attend the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia PA. with the Sacred Heart Apostolate. It was a wonderful surprise and I am so excited about it. And what company I will be in - Gloria Anson, Anne Costa, Shannon Guy, Patsy Leo. Gloria and Patsy have given years of dedicated service to the promotion of the Sacred Heart Enthronement. See the website at http://www.sacredheartapostolate.com/index.html
I'm going to be a worker bee which is great because it fits my Martha personality so well. But I will be loaded down with camera and technology that will hopefully work and hope to blog and post pictures from the Conference. Keep in touch and check iit out! |
