How did rosary making get started?
Read their story written by Tom Maguire for the Catholic Sun here and view the video above for a message from Alice and Nelson.

Alice and Nelson Kirkpatrick have devoted their lives and marriage to Our Lady. Their home honors Jesus and Mary and is adorned with rosaries, statues and holy pictures. They make rosaries for all over the country and world. They were the beginning of the Marian Center Rosary Makers and have passed that skill and knowledge on to The Franciscan Villa rosary makers.

You can learn how to pray the rosary at the USCCB website.
Our 7 Sorrows Rosaries are made on Mondays at the Center from 10:30-noon. The devotion originally was given to St. Bridget but was requested again during Our Lady's appearances to Marie Clare in Kibeho, Africa. Visit Immaculee's website to learn how to pray this special prayer.

7 Sorrows Rosaries of Our Lady are available at the CNY Marian Center.

Irene, Barb and Marguerite are gifted rosary makers who felt a call from the Holy Spirit to offer red and white bead rosaries to Confirmation classes as a gift. They sent out over 700 Rosaries last year to parishes in the Diocese of Syracuse. Contact us below and request rosaries for your Confirmands.

New to the Rosary Lineup - Lap Rosaries
Mary Putney was inspired while participating in 33 Days to Morning Glory to design a crocheted rosary that people with coordination problems, dementia, arthritis, difficulty gripping objects, or vision problems can pray with.
Ever seen a Crocheted Rosary? They are pictured abvie and we have them at the Marian Center. They are designed for anyone who has difficulty using a traditional rosary. It can sit on a table or rest in your lap. Some are distributed to local care facilities for the residents. The rosaries are available for anyone visiting the Marian Center.
Do you crochet? We would love to have more volunteers to help make the rosaries. We meet at the Center on Tuesday afternoons at 1:30PM and will teach you the patterns. You may also take yarn and beads to make them at home, then drop them off at the Center. There has been a great demand for these rosaries in care facilities and we really could use more lap rosary makers. All materials supplied.
Please contact us if you would like more information or show up Tuesday at 1:30 with your hook or needles if you want to try a knitted one .

Rosary Making at the Franciscan Villa
6900 Buckley Road, LIverpool
The Franciscan Villa Rosary Makers enjoy their Tuesday afternoons.
There is plenty of time for socializing, story telling and making rosaries. Like anyone new to this, they all had to learn how to do it. So they welcome anyone who has an interest in making and spreading the joy of the Rosary to others. Come any Tuesday at 1:00 and join the group in the upstairs Activity room.
